Episode 080
Pop Up Holiday House
With Tracy Pray Bradshaw and Brenda Speece
Show Notes:
Hello friends, and welcome back to The Best of LKN podcast. I have a really special episode for you today. If you’ve been following The Best of LKN for a while, you may recall an article we wrote for the blog featuring the 9 Top Lake Norman Realtors on Instagram. The idea of the article was to share some Instagram marketing advice for small business owners from a few of the most prolific professionals in the Lake Norman area.
I felt very lucky to have received input for that article from THE MOST followed Lake Norman real estate agent on Instagram, Tracy Pray Bradshaw. Tracy is an agent/broker with Allen Tate Lake Norman. When Tracy and I connected, we talked at length about the article we were writing and how she could contribute, and during those discussions, Tracy introduced me to a charity fundraising initiative she created back in 2018 that benefits foster kids in the Lake Norman community. I knew immediately that this was something I wanted to share with our audience, so I invited Tracy to join me on the podcast to share the story of her fundraising event – Pop Up Holiday House.
Pop Up Holiday House was launched in 2018. Tracy’s vision was a luxury parade of homes style event that would gather select vendors of premium goods and services, and showcase one of the premier homes in the Lake Norman area. I’ll let Tracy share the details about the event in our conversation, but suffice to say for now that the event was an immediate success and continues to grow in scale year after year.
The beneficiary of the Pop Up Holiday House charity fundraiser is the Children’s Homes of Iredell County. The goal: to provide a Christmas experience for kids in foster care. Joining us in this episode is Brenda Speece. Brenda served with the Children’s Homes of Iredell County for over 30 years, and recently retired as their Executive Director. In this conversation, Brenda shares how the Pop Up Holiday House event has helped make a positive impact on the lives of the children in foster care.
Stay with us after the conversation so I can give you more details on how to get involved with the Pop Up Holiday House this year. For now, lean in with me, and get to know Tracy Pray Bradshaw, Brenda Speece, and the Pop Up Holiday House fundraiser for the Childrens Homes of Iredell County.
