SEEMINGLY OVERZEALOUS SET TO OPEN IN DAVIDSON

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 24, 2026) – Seemingly Overzealous, Charlotte’s beloved dairy, egg, and gluten-free ice cream shop owned and operated by locals Jessica Berresse and Garrett Tichy, is thrilled to announce their Davidson opening on Wednesday, July 1. Located at 207 Griffith Street as a part of the Sadler Square shopping center, this location will feature approximately 1000 square feet, a beautiful mural by Esther Moorehead, and 25 seats (inside vs outside).

To celebrate the Grand Opening, the team will be partnering with Good Morning Lake Norman show host Mamie Lee (@lknmamie) to offer the following special available only at Davidson through opening week: a coffee & cream swirled flavor with a salted oat crunch mixed in. PLUS: the first 50 guests will receive a special SO branded freezer tote on opening day (opening at 1 p.m.).

Guests can expect 12-16 rotating flavors including best-selling classics like, CAN’T ALL BE COOKiE (cookies & cream) and BiG MiNT CiTY FAN (mint chip), in addition to more unique creations like PRiME PEEPiN (ube cheesecake). The one common theme? The made-from-scratch dairy, egg & gluten free ice cream will continue to cater to those with allergies while also satisfying those looking for the creaminess they’ve come to expect from full fat, dairy-based ice cream.

In addition to scoops, the shop will also offer gluten-free waffle cones, ice cream sammies, ice cream cakes and pints. Additionally, Davidson will bring the introduction of newer products including shakes (targeting mid September 2026), flights & expanded baked good offerings (targeting Fall 2026).

Similar to other locations, Davidson will aim to create an immersive experience for customers, offering cozy seating areas, playful décor, and that signature Seemingly Overzealous flair that regulars have come to love. Yes, the floors will be covered in glitter! Special shout out to Cluck Design Collaborative and Mad Goat Studio for the design and DK Hayden Construction for the build out.
