Serving the Lake Norman area since 2018, the Bavarian Kitchen is like stepping into the German countryside. Owner Fiona grew up cooking with her grandmother in Germany and you can feel the love and attention to detail as soon as you walk in.
Everything feels handcrafted – the large wood seating and bar, artwork, lighting – the cozy atmosphere and the aromatics of German cuisine wrap around you like a warm blanket.

They’ve made it their mission to preserve the recipes handed down for generations, serving the freshest German dishes of bratwurst, schnitzel with spaetzle, sauerkraut, and so much more!
The Bavarian garbed staff is knowledgeable of the menu so please ask questions if you’re feeling intimidated.
Snack on a giant Oktoberfest pretzel with a beer or wine while you wait. Your entrée comes out shortly after you finish the traditional, tangy German salad of greens atop beans, carrots, and potatoes. Don’t forget to ask about the specials for the day, and that means dessert, too!
Reservations are recommended but not required. If you’re coming alone or with a partner, you can sit at the bar, otherwise expect to wait for a seat if you didn’t make reservations.
